The Taoist Business talisman has the power to help someone have a successful and prosperous business.

Oddly enough, it was while I was in Malaysia (and not in China) that I discovered the Chinese-Taoist God of Business: Cai Bo Xing Jun.
I was searching for a temple that had a shrine for the God Of Education. The place I intended to visit was being renovated and so I was led to Sin Sze Si Ya Chinese-Taoist Temple which, supposedly, had a shrine for the God Of Education.
And it did. But I was soon to notice, and became curious, that it also had a shrine for Cai Bo Xing Jun (财帛星君): God of Business!
Cai Bo Xing Jun (财帛星君): Taoist Deiti of Business. The most popular God of Wealth among the Chinese all over the world.
He is also known as Li Gui Zu (李诡祖), Cai Bo Xing Jun (财帛星君) , Zeng Fu Xiang Gong (增福相公), Zeng Fu Cai Shen (增福财神), Fu Shan Ping Shi Gong (福善平施公).
I thought to myself: if there really was a God connected to business, what would this really mean?
What quickly came to mind was the Buddhist concept of “Right Livelihood.” Vietnamese Zen teacher Thich Nhat Hanh explained it really well when he wrote,
“To practice Right Livelihood ( samyag ajiva ), you have to find a way to earn your living without transgressing your ideals of love and compassion. The way you support yourself can be an expression of your deepest self, or it can be a source of suffering for you and others. ” … Our vocation can nourish our understanding and compassion, or erode them. We should be awake to the consequences, far and near, of the way we earn our living.” (The Heart of the Buddha’s Teaching[Parallax Press, 1998], p. 104)
Having a business, surely falls into this category of livelihood (one’s source of income). The God Of Business would be that Divine vibration that would help to elevate the awareness of how we conduct business. It would help to find a way to run your business without transgressing your ideals of love and compassion. The God Of Business would help run your business in a way in which you or others do not suffer and ideally in a way that it can be more an expression of your deepest self.
In regards to the actual amount of money that your business makes, it would, one way or another, help you suffer less. If earning too much money, too quickly, would mean that your egoic behaviors would inflate, then this God would actually make you earn less so that you would experience less suffering. If on the other hand, your insecurities as keeping you from earning more money, then it would help guide you on path where you can release some limitations, earn more money, and experience more genuine success.
Ultimately, the God of Business helps us to have a successful business while elevating the consciousness of our business so that is more (satvic) loving and sustainable for the business owner, for others, for the environment and for all sentient being in all the realms.
I was in the beginning phases of developing this website and this entire MYOURWORLD project. I thought, it is, in essence, my new business venture which, without a doubt is an expression of my deepest self. I wanted to firstly thank the God Of Business for having inspired me. For allowing me to even vaguely connect with itself- with its vibration- through this project. I knew the God Of Business existed because I felt it was living through me. I also wanted to continue and to further develop our relationship.
I asked the person in charge of the temple to explain to me a little bit about this God and how he was viewed and understood in this tradition. I then asked if there was a customary ritual that I could also partake in. It was even simpler than I thought. Besides praying to the God of Business directly, they would, in my name, add some oil to the candle that it constantly burning for this deity. While the flame would burn using “my” oil, it would be sending grace towards me and to my business. After pouring the oil, the gongs were then rung in order to “awaken” the deity and establish the connection.
I felt very blessed and wanted other business owners to also have this support and grace come their way. I offered one of the paper prayer offerings to the Cai Bo Xing Jun, got it consecrated and so it become the Taoist Business Talisman.

And how many people would benefit from spending time with this talisman…wow! Right livelihood is something so many are struggling with now.
